The images displayed and sold through this website are protected by Australian copyright law.
There is no need to register artwork in Australia for copyright to take effect. Copyright applies immediately to all artwork as soon as it is in material form and work is protected by copyright whether a copyright notice is displayed or not.
Permission must be gained from the artist before artwork can be copied or used to communicate to the public, such as on a website. When you purchase a PDF of an image from this website you do so to produce just one copy. If more copies are required permission must be gained. Images may not be used to advertise products or displayed on a website unless written permission has been given. A commercial agreement may be negotiated over any of the images displayed.
Changing a certain percentage of an artwork does not provide a right to copy it or call it your own, as may be the case in other countries.
Australian art is protected by copyright in most countries around the world, including the United States.
