The Jirralulu Art website is owned and managed by Jirralulu Pty Ltd atf Planigale Trust (hereinafter referred to as Jirralulu Art). We value the privacy of our customers. In all our business operations, we aim to comply with the National Privacy Principles as set out in the Privacy Act 1988 and amended by the Privacy Amendment (Private Sector) Act 2000. To comply with our obligations we have adopted a Privacy Policy which outlines how we manage privacy in our organization.
Collection of Personal Information
We collect only the personal information that is necessary for us to carry out our primary business successfully.
When you want to purchase a product from Jirralulu Art you will be asked to provide personal details which include your name, email address, home and shipping address.
Why we collect personal information
We collect these details about our customers to: ensure that orders are forwarded to the correct name and address; so that we may communicate with you regarding your order; and for the security of our shopping system. We require an email address so that we may confirm your order with you. This lets you know that your order was received by us and gives you an opportunity to check the details that you provided. An error in the address can significantly delay the shipment of your order. By confirming your order, we are also reducing the likelihood of credit card fraud.
If we need to contact you, we will send you an email in the first instance. We may ask for your telephone number in case we must speak to you about your order.
We may also collect information in order to send our news material to those customers or visitors who have indicated that they would like to receive it. This is completely voluntary on the part of the customer and you have the option to unsubscribe from this service at any time.
We also collect information necessary to administer and manage our accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
Disclosure of Personal Information
The personal information that you provide to us will be kept confidential. We do not sell your personal information to anyone.
In order to carry out business functions we may have to disclose your information to the bank through which purchase payments are received, our insurance company, accountants, government department, legal institutions or other professional advisors if we are so legally obliged during the course of business.
We must also disclose your name and mailing address to our wholesale centers for shipment of any products purchased through our website.
Unsolicited Emails
We will not send you any unsolicited emails as we respect our customers’ privacy and we abide by the Spam Act 2003 and amendments.
Sources of Information
Customers provide personal information when purchasing a product through our shop therefore the personal information we collect comes directly from a consenting individual. In some cases we may collect information about a person through a third person, such as when a customer purchases a gift certificate for another person. In such a case, we will endeavor to ensure that the recipient of the gift certificate is informed of the source of such information.
Access to your Personal Information
The personal information that Jirralulu Art retains about customers is kept confidential. Any reasonable request for information that we may keep, such as order history, will be gladly provided to the customer who this information applies to. Please make such a request in writing. We will require positive identification prior to releasing any personal information.
Storage and Security
Your personal information can only be accessed by Jirralulu Art. Your information is not stored online.
Providing Personal Information
Provision of your personal information is completely voluntary. You are not obliged to provide your personal information to us. However, if you choose not to provide Jirralulu Art with information requested, we may not be able to provide you with our products or services.
Right to Anonymity
A visitor to our website is free to browse our website with anonymity.

Your privacy is of the utmost importance to us. If you have any complaints about our privacy practices or wish to make a complaint about how we have managed your personal information please do not hesitate to contact us.
Complaints should be made in writing and include your name and contact details so that we may contact you with a view to resolving any issues. All complaints will be treated seriously and dealt with promptly and in a confidential manner.
Jirralulu Art welcomes feedback from customers. Any anonymous complaints received will also be taken on board so that we may continually improve our service. However, we may be limited as to how we can respond if we are not provided with details about the person making a complaint.
